The Government of India has made it necessary for everyone to complete their EPFO KYC, where users link their government identity proofs, such as an Aadhaar card, to EPFO. So, to continue getting benefits such as savings TDS and interest on money deposits over the retirement years, you would need to update the EPFO KYC process.

How to Link PAN & Aadhaar to EPFO – Complete EPFO KYC Process

To complete the EPFO KYC process, you need to first have your PAN and Aadhaar card details along with their uploaded documents. Then, follow the below instructions to complete the process.

  1. Go to the EPFO website and then log in with your account details at https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.
  2. Once logged in, click on the “Manage” option from the homepage top menu under the drop-down.
  3. Select KYC, and you will see four options: Bank, PAN, Aadhaar, and Passport. You can select the one you want to proceed with.

Bank KYC.

  1. Click on the Bank option. Under it, you must fill in all your bank details, such as name, account number, and IFSC code.
  2. Once you enter these details, you must check for any OTP you should receive on your registered mobile number.
  3. Enter the OTP, and at the bottom, click on the Verify button to complete the Bank KYC.

PAN Card.

  1. Select the PAN option and then enter your name as per your PAN card, along with your PAN card number.
  2. Then, check the checkbox for constant and click on the confirm option.
  3. Next, enter the OTP received and click on verify.

Aadhaar Card.

  1. Select the Aadhaar option, then enter your Aadhaar card name and number.
  2. Next, select the consent check box, click confirm to enter the OTP, and click verify to complete the Aadhaar EPFO KYC.

Passport.

  1. After selecting the Passport option, you must enter your name as per your passport.
  2. Then, enter the passport number, check the consent checkbox and enter the OTP.
  3. Finally, click the Verify option to finish the Passport EPFO KYC.

After all 4 steps or even completing one of the above, you must upload the documents selected for KYC. Once uploaded, your account KYC status will be under review with the status “KYC pending for Approval.
