If you’re looking to save money in the bank, there’s a good chance for you now. Indus Bank, a leading domestic bank in India, has updated its interest rates on fixed deposits. If you deposit Rs.1 lakh in this scheme, you can earn a maximum interest rate of 8.25%.

The revised interest rates will be effective from February 6, 2024, and apply to deposits below Rs.2 crore. On maturity tenures of 7 to 10 years, the bank is offering a range of interest rates between 3.50% to 7.75%. The maximum interest rate on any tenure is Rs.1 lakh.   • IndusInd Bank is offering a 3.5% interest rate for a maturity tenure of 7-30 days to all customers.
  • 3.75% interest is offered for fixed deposits of 31 days to 45 days.
  • It is offering interest up to 4.75% on tenure deposits of 46 days to 120 days.
  • 5% interest is offered for deposits with a maturity period of 121 days to 180 days.
  • 5.85% interest for 181 days to 210 days and 6.1% interest for 211 days to 269 days.
  • 6.5% interest is given on the tenure of 270 days to 354 days.
  • It gives 7.75% interest for one to two years.
  • 7.25% interest is offered from 2 years to 5 years.
  • It is offering 7% interest for 5 years to 10 years.
  • Indus is offering 7.25% interest on Tax Saver Scheme (5-year tenure).

How much Return will we earn on a Rs.1 lakh deposit at 8.25% interest?

IndusInd Bank is offering senior citizens an additional 50 basis points of interest compared to general customers. This means that deposits with a maturity of one to two years will earn an interest rate of 8.25%.

For example, if you make a deposit of Rs.1 lakh with a maturity period of two years, you will receive up to Rs.17,500 as interest by the time of maturity. This means that after two years, you will have a total of up to Rs.1,17,500. However, please note that there may be some variations due to bank charges and GST.
