The Andhra Pradesh government is focused on filling various government school teacher vacancies, and preparations are underway for administering the Mega DSC (AP MEGA DSC 2024). Thus, they released the new AP Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) notification on Monday, July 1. The complete details will be available on the official website of the School Education Department, https://cse.ap.gov.in, starting Tuesday.
The application fee can be paid from July 3 to 16, and applications will be accepted from July 4 to 17. The TET will likely be held in August and conducted online. Additionally, a special announcement for Mega DSC will be released within a week, with a plan being prepared for more than 30 days between TET and DSC.
Education Minister Nara Lokesh has called on everyone to prepare for Mega DSC, which was announced by the Andhra Pradesh government. The AP TET results, awaited for the last three months, were released last week. Minister Lokesh reminded that 2.35 lakh unemployed teachers across the state eagerly await these results as they are eligible to write DSC only if they qualify in the Teacher Eligibility Test. There is a 20 per cent weightage for TET marks in DSC.
For those who do not qualify for TET, Lokesh congratulated the candidates who qualified in the recently released TET. There will be a new opportunity for those not qualified in the current TET and those who have completed B.Ed and D.Ed. Nara Lokesh stated that there will be a Mega DSC after the new TET.
Regarding TET eligibility marks, the TET Paper-1 and Paper-2 written exams were conducted separately for a total of 150 marks. The minimum qualifying marks in the examinations will be 60 per cent for OCs, 50 per cent for BCs, and 40 per cent for SC, ST, Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen candidates. It is known that TET marks have a 20 per cent weightage in DSC.
