Schools in Jharkhand and Bihar have been closed due to the extreme heat and heat waves affecting the region. This has caused trouble for the people who are coming out of their homes only when necessary. Children are also being affected while going to school. In response to this, many states have declared holidays in schools. Due to the severity of the heat, states may announce holidays soon. The southern states of India are not exempt from severe heat, and many states have changed school timings. Some places have been instructed to close schools as well. In Jharkhand, an order has been issued to close all schools up to class 8. This has led to speculations that a major decision may be taken regarding school closures in Bihar as well.
All schools in the state capital, Patna, have been instructed to remain closed till April 30. The District Magistrate may soon issue instructions regarding the extension of holidays in the area. The state government may also soon order the closure of government and non-government schools in the entire state.
The Bihar government may soon issue instructions to close schools up to class 12th. However, no statement has been issued yet in this regard. If an order is issued, all government and non-government schools in the state will be closed.
