TG DSC 2024: Telangana Teacher Aspirants Demand to Add Those 15,000 Vacancies

Telangana DSC: Aspirants for teaching positions in Telangana are requesting that vacancies created due to the promotions of teachers should be included in the notification for DSC-2024. This issue has raised concerns.

Telangana Teacher Positions: Job seekers are urging the latest DSC notification to include the 15,000 vacancies expected to open up as a result of teacher transfers and promotions in Telangana. On June 24, candidates protested at Varad libraries and study centres across the state to push for the inclusion of these vacancies. They are also seeking a 40-day postponement of the July exams so those recently cleared TET can adequately prepare for DSC.

Regarding transfers, the education department officials transferred 6,013 school assistants in 12 districts, with the exception of Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts in Multizone-2 on Monday (June 24). Among these, 271 school assistants were transferred in Sangareddy, 834 in Janagam, 562 in Medchal, 456 in Vikarabad, 641 in Mahabubnagar, 305 in Vanaparthi, 310 in Nagarkurnool, 451 in Nalgonda, and 876 in Suryapet.

Regarding the transfers of school assistants, SGTs, Linguists, and PETs that are to be promoted as SAs, the teachers currently working as SAs should be transferred. The transfer orders were issued on Monday, June 24. Last year, transfers were carried out in Hyderabad district under the same zone. However, in Rangareddy district, transfers were halted due to a court case. On the other hand, 1,015 teachers in government schools were promoted as school assistants on Sunday.

After the completion of the transfer process for school assistants, SGTs in primary and secondary schools under the jurisdiction of mandal and zilla parishads, language scholars, and PETs in high schools of zilla parishads will be promoted as SAs in three to four days. They were given an opportunity to register for web options on Tuesday, June 25.

Despite the Mega DSC application deadline passing in Telangana, the education department has not yet released the complete schedule for the exams. The exams are scheduled to be held from July 17 to 31, but the paper-wise exam schedule has not been announced. This has left DSC candidates worried, as they are uncertain about the exam dates and the time they have to prepare for each paper. It has been confirmed that the DSC exams will be conducted online for the first time, with examination centres being allocated based on joint districts.
