After the paper leak in the UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam, the Uttar Pradesh state government has taken significant action. The company responsible for conducting the UP Police Constable Exam 2024 has been blacklisted. Following the paper leak in the UP Sipahi Bharti 2024, the government has ordered the exam to be conducted again within six months.
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has blacklisted the Ahmedabad-based company Edutest, which conducted the UP Constable Bharti 2024 exam. As a result, Edutest will no longer be allowed to conduct recruitment examinations for any department in the state, and legal action will be taken against the company.
In addition, the government issued multiple notices to the company’s director, Vineet Arya, and summoned him to provide a statement regarding the paper leak. However, he failed to appear. Following this action against the company, a new date for the examination may be announced soon, allowing candidates to take the exam without much delay.
To provide context, applications were invited for 60,255 posts for the Uttar Pradesh Constable Recruitment (UP Police Constable Vacancy 2024) in December, with approximately 48 lakh candidates applying. The exam took place on 17 and 18 February but was cancelled due to the paper leak. Subsequently, the government instructed the exam to be re-conducted within six months.
